Redland-Victoria Point Sharks have announced the signing of ex-Gold Coast Suns and former SANFL player Clay Cameron.
Cameron previously played for the Club from 2017 to 2019, notching 44 games for a return of 72 goals in the NEAFL.
His exploits in that period were rewarded by being crowned the 2019 Dowling Medalist while he was also named at centre half forward in the 2019 NEAFL Team of the Year and claimed the competition’s Mark of the Year.
He has spent the past two seasons playing in the SANFL with Woodville-Wests Torrens.
Cameron rejoins the Sharks in a playing-assistant coach role.
Former Redland junior Blake Grewar will also call Totally WorkWear Park home once again in 2024 after re-signing with the club.
Grewar returns to the club where he played 85 NEAFL games after his debut in 2012 through to 2016.
One of the most decorated players in the club’s recent history, he is a two-time NEAFL Team of the Year member and in 2016 claimed the Dowling Medal.
In 2017, Grewar was drafted to the Brisbane Lions as a rookie where he played in the 2017 NEAFL premiership team.
Following his time at the Lions, Grewar spent 2018-2019 with Richmond VFL and won silverware with Nightcliff in the NTFL (2019) and with Tooradin in the West Gippsland Football League (2022).
