REDLANDS View Club’s annual fashion parade has once again proved a highlight on the local social calendar, bringing together friendship, style and community spirit – all for a good cause.

Around 70 members, family and friends gathered at the Lions Club Hall in Cleveland for the much-loved event, which featured a pink and silver theme.

Guests enjoyed a delicious salad lunch, morning tea with beautifully decorated biscuits, and a glass of bubbles or two.

The fashion parade – a highlight of the day – was presented by Ros from Portofino Fashions, showcasing the latest summer looks modelled by six club members.

Judging by the number of purchases made, the styles were a clear hit.

Adding to the excitement, a Cent Auction featuring a range of fabulous prizes helped raise about $2000.

The funds will go towards supporting 10 disadvantaged students through The Smith Family partnership, as well as the club’s Book and Toy Appeal for Christmas.

VIEW, which stands for Voice, Interests and Education of Women, is a national women’s volunteer organisation founded by The Smith Family in 1960.

With more than 14,000 members across Australia, the group is dedicated to improving the lives of students experiencing disadvantage through education.

The Redlands View Club is now welcoming new members for the coming year.
