ON a cold and drizzly Saturday afternoon at Amcal Arena, Redlands United endured a tough night at the hands of a clinical Magic United outfit, going down 5-0 in Round 15 of the league.

From the opening whistle, it was clear Magic meant business.

Former Red Devil Mason Cross struck early, bagging two goals within the first 13 minutes.

When Magic added a third just before the break, the mountain got steeper.

The second half saw Redlands attempt to lift the tempo and push forward in search of a breakthrough, but Magic’s defence remained resolute, shutting down any real chance of a comeback.

Midway through the second half, Mount completed a well-earned hat-trick, slotting his third and Magic’s fourth goal to all but seal the contest.

A fifth goal in the dying stages added gloss to the scoreline for the visitors.
