REDLANDS United made an impressive start to its 2025 FQPL 1 campaign with a dominant 4-1 victory over newly promoted Holland Park Hawks in their Round 1 clash at Whites Hill.

From the opening whistle, Redlands controlled much of the game, showcasing its trademark quick ball speed and high pressing game.

Its one-touch football kept the Hawks under constant pressure, and it didn’t take long for the visitors to open the scoring.

Captain Noah Hitchcock found the back of the net in the seventh minute, giving Redlands an early advantage.

Man of the match Deegan Brook doubled the lead in the 19th minute with a well-taken strike.

The Hawks, who suffered a red card in the 41st minute, were awarded a penalty a minute later, which they converted to pull one back and give their fans hope.

But in the 68th minute, Brook scored his second goal to restore Redlands’ two-goal cushion.

The final blow came in the 86th minute when Freddie Cruse scored his first senior goal for Redlands.
