THE Redlands Coast Hall of Fame and Sports Awards will return bigger and better in 2025, with this year’s event to be staged at the Sheldon Event Centre on Saturday, November 29.

Chairperson Pat Carroll said the move to the larger venue would allow the annual celebration to build on the success of last year’s event.

“Last year’s awards were fantastic, but this year we’re looking to double in size,” Mr Carroll said.

“With Lord Ian Botham OBE as our guest speaker for the night, it’s guaranteed to be a wonderful evening filled with entertainment and celebration.”

Mr Carroll also encouraged sporting clubs across the region to get their nominations in before the September 30 deadline.

“Last year we had Point Lookout Surf Lifesaving Club rewarded for their incredible achievements in 2024, with their members taking out three awards: Volunteer of the Year, Sportsman of the Year, and Organisation of the Year,” he said.

“With nominations for awards closing on September 30, I encourage all sporting clubs in Redlands to nominate their volunteers, coaches, officials, and athletes so they can be recognised for their achievements by the entire city.”

Lord Botham is widely celebrated for his extraordinary contributions to cricket, earning legendary status for his performances both as a player and captain for England.

Beyond the world of sport, he is known for his tireless dedication to charitable causes and his inspiring journey as a public figure.

With a wealth of experience and countless stories to share, Lord Botham promises to deliver insights that captivate and inspire.

Nominations can be made online at redlandscoastsportshalloffame.com.au.
