FOR Ben Tafolo, real estate is not just a profession but a way of life, deeply intertwined with his family and his love for the Redlands community.

A Redlands resident for over 40 years, Ben began his real estate journey in 2001 at Wellington Point and has never looked back.

“I’ve been in real estate for 24 years,” he said.

“The following year, my wife and I met, and we’ve been happily together ever since.”

Since opening their office together in 2021, Ben proudly shared that they are “a happy family in life and in real estate!”

Born in Tasmania in 1980, Ben moved to Queensland with his family in 1984 and quickly grew to love the area.

“I couldn’t think of anywhere else in the world I’d rather call home,” he said.

With deep roots in the community, Ben hopes Redlands City will continue to grow and thrive while preserving the charm and coastal lifestyle that make the region so unique and sought after.

“Although the concept of modern ‘progress’ is largely inevitable,” Ben said.

“Nonetheless I hope that the residents of the Redlands always maintain the focus on nature and lifestyle that makes our area such a pleasure in which to live.”

When Ben isn’t helping clients navigate the property market, he treasures the rare quiet time with his wife and two children.

“I always enjoy swimming and playing games with the kids and watching our favourite old TV shows with my wife,” he said. “We are tragic for The Office, Everybody Loves Raymond and other silly sitcoms from the 80s to early 2000s.”

As a family, they love Wellington Point Beach, Cleveland Point, and local events such as RedFest and the Christmas tree lighting at Raby Bay.

Guided by a solution-focused mindset, Ben embraces challenges with optimism.

“There’s always a way to achieve your goals,” he said, a belief that resonates in his professional and personal life.

Ben said the best thing about working in real estate was meeting a wide spectrum of people and helping them move forward in life.

“Real estate is a lifestyle, and I wouldn’t want to do anything else,” he said.
