THE Redlands Coast Blues Festival is making its highly anticipated return on Saturday, April 5 at the Redlands Showgrounds in Cleveland, after a challenging hiatus due to the floods of 2022.

Festival organisers are promising an unforgettable event, with an exciting line-up of talented musicians ready to light up the stage.

Co-ordinator Annette Richards shared her excitement about the festival’s revival.

“It has been a long road to get to this point, but we are absolutely thrilled to bring the Redlands Coast Blues Festival back to life in 2025,” she said.

“We’ve been working hard to ensure this year’s event is bigger, better, and more exciting than ever before, offering an incredible experience for blues fans and our local community.”

This year’s festival will feature a blend of well-known blues acts and some new faces, each bringing their unique sound and energy to the stage.

Ash Grunwald will join the festival as the headline act.

Known for his unique “surf by day, jam by night” style, Ash has toured with legends and earned numerous awards, making his performance one not to miss.

Among the other highly anticipated acts include roving entertainers The Blue Skillet Rovers, whose foot-stomping, jug-band-style tunes and infectious energy will keep the crowd entertained in the breaks between the acts on stage;

Shade Hadie, a fresh face on the scene with their take on 60s blues, filled with raw, gravelly vocals and dual lead guitars; and Shotgun Sam & His World Famous Blues Band, who are known for their high-energy rock, blues, and rockabilly performances that are guaranteed to get the crowd dancing.

Other highlights include Dezzie D and the Stingrayz, bringing a modern twist to classic 50s and 60s rhythm and blues.

Also The Honey Sliders, whose retro-inspired sound blends blues, rock, soul, and country, with a strong focus on recreating the golden age of rock ’n’ roll.

Also gracing the stage will be Mojo Webb’s Chicago Blues Allstars, with their authentic 1940s and 1950s Chicago blues, and Blues Arcadia, who fuse the legendary soul of Stax and Motown with the heat of Chicago and Memphis blues.

“We’ve got an amazing range of acts lined up, and we are so excited for our community to experience it,” Mrs Richards said.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for local music lovers to enjoy world-class performances right here in the Redlands.”

The festival’s commitment to supporting the local community remains strong, with proceeds going towards initiatives that benefit those in need across the Redland City area.

Domestic violence support continues to be a priority, but the festival’s reach is expanding this year to include a range of initiatives aimed at helping even more people in the region.

Mrs Richards is confident that this year’s festival will be a standout event.

“This is going to be a day to remember,” she said.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for a fantastic day of music, celebration, and community spirit.”
