THE Redlands Coast business community is being encouraged to step forward and share its success stories with the official launch of the 2026 Redlands Business Excellence Awards.
Held at Fiction Bar and Restaurant in Cleveland on March 23, the launch brought together local business owners, industry leaders and community representatives to mark the beginning of this year’s awards program.
More than just a competition, the awards are designed to recognise the strength, diversity and resilience of local enterprise, and the role small and medium businesses play in shaping the Redlands Coast economy.
The Chamber confirmed nominations opened from March 24, with the program building toward the Awards Presentation Night on October 24 at Alexandra Hills Hotel.
Key dates for this year’s program include:
• People’s Choice nominations closing June 8
• Public voting from June 15 to August 19
• Final submissions closing July 26
• Finalists announced August 27
Attendees at the launch were given practical guidance on how to prepare a strong submission, with long-standing awards judge Steve McDonald outlining what judges look for.
He emphasised the importance of clearly telling each business’s story, supported by evidence and aligned with the Chamber’s Framework of Business Excellence.
That framework reflects the broader goals of the Redlands Coast economy, including job creation, investment, community contribution and enhancing local lifestyle.
Businesses entering the awards will respond to four key questions designed to highlight their impact, innovation and connection to the community, with submissions assessed by an independent judging panel under a transparent and merit-based process.
The awards season will again culminate in a celebration of local achievement, with finalists and sponsors coming together for a gala evening recognising the people and businesses driving the region forward.
The Chamber acknowledged the ongoing support of sponsors, including Redland City Council, Local Redland Bayside News, Bendigo Bank, Kate Redman & Associates and Capalaba Central Shopping Centre.
