Redlands Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) is running special workshops and shows for budding young performers.

From drama and dance classes to interactive storytelling sessions, it’s a great way for kids to explore creativity and make new friends.

For families looking to spend time outdoors, Wellington Point and Cleveland Point are perfect picnic spots. Children can explore the sand flats at low tide, while parents enjoy the sea breezes. Over in Wynnum, the wading pool and adventure playground along The Esplanade remain favourites for young families, with plenty of shaded picnic areas nearby.

Nature lovers can take advantage of Redlands’ many conservation parks. IndigiScapes Centre in Capalaba offers eco-friendly school holiday programs where children can learn about native plants, bush tucker and local wildlife.

For something a little different, kids can test their problem-solving skills at one of the local escape rooms in Cleveland, or enjoy indoor fun at the local skating rinks and ten-pin bowling centres.

Libraries across both Redlands and Wynnum will be holding story times, craft sessions, and STEM-focused workshops designed to challenge young minds. These free or low-cost programs are always popular, so bookings are recommended.

With such a wide variety of events on offer, parents can relax knowing there are endless opportunities to keep children active and engaged without travelling too far.
