IT’S been a big month for the Redland Bay Amateur Fishing Club, with standout catches at North Stradbroke Island and plenty of smiles back on the mainland as members shared in the spoils of the club’s Major Raffle – Multiple Prize Extravaganza.

More than 60 anglers fished along Straddie’s Main Beach during the annual Beach Fishing Trip last month, with Nathan crowned winner of the senior men’s category thanks to his haul of tailor, bream and tarwhine.

Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol officers also dropped by the weigh-in, checking out the day’s catch.

Meanwhile, the club’s mega raffle delivered a bumper prize haul, with everything from fishing gear and camping equipment to an inflatable paddleboard and coffee packs up for grabs for lots of lucky winners.
