IT was a huge weekend of racing for RCMC, with members flying the club colours at two very different but equally exciting events.

On home turf, five athletes took on the Bribie Island Triathlon under postcard conditions.

In the long course event (750m swim/20km ride/5km run), Bridget Copland, Bronwyn Williams, Linda Meredith and Sally McLean all produced fantastic performances, while Joanne Johnson tackled the short course (300m swim/10km ride/3km run).

Meanwhile, in Wagga Wagga, racing stalwarts Julie Rappo and Robin Cain represented RCMC with distinction at the 2025 AusCycling National Masters Road Championships.

Julie claimed a silver medal in the opening 15km individual time trial before backing up with a strong fifth place in the gruelling road race and fourth in the criterium.

Rob also rode well in the men’s criterium, finishing strongly in the bunch.
