ORMISTON College has claimed a major sporting double, winning both the Bayside District School Sport and The Associated Schools (TAS) cross country carnivals in a top season for the school’s athletes.

At the Bayside District Cross Country carnival, held in early May at Capalaba Regional Park, Ormiston College was named 13-19 Years Champion for the second year running.

The school’s strong performance saw 29 students qualify to represent Bayside District at the 2025 Metropolitan East School Sport Cross Country Trials.

The winning continued at the TAS Cross Country carnival on May 20, where Ormiston College was crowned Champion School after competing against fellow member schools.

Several students claimed individual victories in the 13, 14, 15 and 16-years boys and 16 years girls categories.

The boys’ strong showing also secured the school the Aggregate Boys and Percentage Boys Champion School trophies.

“Winning both the Bayside and TAS cross country events is an incredible achievement for our cross-country team,” Ormiston College Headmaster Michael Hornby said.

“It is a reflection of the commitment, perseverance and talent of our athletes, as well as the dedication of our coaching staff.”

The back-to-back titles highlight the depth of talent and consistency across Ormiston College’s cross-country program.
