INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed soprano Mirusia will return to her hometown of Redlands to headline the 2025 Dîner en Rouge charity gala on Saturday, May 31.

The event, now in its 11th year, is hosted by the Redland Foundation in partnership with Zonta, Soroptimists, and the Rotary Club of Cleveland.

Known for its striking red theme, the annual gala is a fundraiser and a platform to raise awareness about domestic and family violence.

Mirusia, who also serves as an ambassador for the Redland Foundation, will deliver a captivating performance as the centrepiece of the evening.

Redland Foundation Chair Don Seccombe said the organisation was proud to welcome her back for what promises to be a moving and memorable night.

“We are honoured to welcome back Mirusia, our Redland Foundation ambassador to Dîner en Rouge 2025,” he said.

“Her voice carries the emotion and strength of the message we aim to share: that everyone deserves to live free from violence.”

Mirusia said it was an honour to be invited to headline Dîner en Rouge 2025.

“This event means so much to me, not only because it’s held in my hometown of Redlands, but because the cause it supports is so incredibly important,” she said.

“I know people, friends, whose lives have been deeply impacted by domestic and family violence.

“To be able to lend my voice to raise awareness and support those affected is something I don’t take lightly.

“It’s going to be a beautiful and meaningful night, and I’m proud to be part of it.”

This year’s event will also mark the official launch of the Angela Petersen Emergency Support Fund.

The new initiative has been created through a generous bequest and will provide immediate financial support to victims of domestic violence, with funds distributed via trusted local service providers.

Money raised on the night will go towards several local community organisations, including Maybanke Crisis Accommodation, The Betterment Project – which delivers respectful relationships education to young men – and Share the Dignity, which provides essential hygiene items to women in crisis.

Guests will also hear from a panel of speakers in a discussion hosted by journalist Bianca Stone.

The evening will conclude with entertainment from popular band Sister Mister.

Bookings and sponsorship enquiries can be made via the Redland Foundation website at redlandfoundation.org.au.
