A PARKED car has been left severely damaged in a hit-and-run incident on Wondall Rd, Manly West.

The crash occurred near Wondall Heights State School about 12.50am on March 9, leaving the Nissan Pulsar unrecognisable.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the offending driver’s vehicle continued to push the wrecked vehicle across the road, eventually leaving it in a resident’s driveway.

Local resident Francis Anog shared images of the mangled car online, sparking a wave of confusion among locals.

Many questioned whether the vehicle had been struck by a truck or a 4×4 due to the severity of the damage.

Police say a 27-year-old man from Shailer Park is assisting them with the investigation.

They have not revealed what type of vehicle was involved in the crash.
