THE Redlands Coast Eagles Netball Club is excited to announce a new partnership with Sheldon College, making the renowned educational institution the official home of the Eagles.

This collaboration combines Sheldon College’s state-of-the-art facilities with the Eagles’ commitment to netball excellence, creating a dynamic environment where athletes can thrive.

The Redlands Coast Eagles, a new franchise recently granted a licence from Netball Queensland to compete in the prestigious HART Premier Netball League, will now benefit from Sheldon College’s world-class resources.

The college will provide the necessary facilities to support the Eagles’ elite netball program, including an indoor, air-conditioned championship court, training spaces, and other resources essential for performance at the highest level.

In return, the Redlands Coast Eagles will offer expert advice and guidance on Sheldon College’s netball program, aimed at nurturing talent and fostering growth within the sport.

“This partnership is a game-changer for both the Eagles and Sheldon College,” Redlands Coast Eagles General Manager Jason Schmalkuche said.

“Sheldon College offers an exceptional training environment, and we are proud to be able to provide our expertise in developing a netball program that drives excellence. Together, we’ll build a pathway for success at all levels.”

Sheldon College Principal Kate Mortimer also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.

“We are thrilled to host the Redlands Coast Eagles at Sheldon College,” she said.

“This collaboration aligns perfectly with our goal to offer world-class sports facilities and development programs, leading to excellence.

“We are confident that our athletes will benefit from the expert guidance and professional netball infrastructure the Eagles bring.”

Netball Queensland General Manager – Netball Glenn Dennis shared his excitement about the partnership.

“It’s incredibly exciting to see the Redlands region represented in the Hart Premier Netball League with their own team,” he said.

“This partnership lays a solid foundation for the sustainability and prosperity of netball within the region and ensures that emerging netballers will be able to live and play within their home region, which can’t be understated.

“I’d like to commend Sheldon College and their leadership team for their commitment to sport within the region.

“I have no doubt that the Sheldon College student experience will be enhanced through connection to the Hart Premier Netball League through the Redlands Coast Eagles.”
