CAPALABA’S bustling food scene has a hidden treasure many locals have yet to uncover: Crema Espresso Cafe.
Opened in April of 2023, the cafe has quickly become a community favourite thanks to its warm service, delicious food and exceptional coffee.
Operated by a young team with mmore than 30 years of combined industry experience, Crema Espresso Capalaba is led by Jody Kembrey, a passionate first-time business owner.
After relocating from New South Wales, Jody initially joined the cafe as a manager before seizing the opportunity to become a franchisee in March this year.
Crema Espresso, first established in 2005 and franchising since 2007, has made its mark primarily in Queensland before expanding to other regions, with the Capalaba store exemplifying the brand’s dedication to creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
“We pride ourselves on remembering your coffee order after a few visits and love having a chat and a laugh while we carry out your service,” Jody said. “We like to treat our customers as part of the ‘Crema family’.”
Another crowd-favourite offering that sets Crema Espresso Capalaba apart is its wood-fired pizza oven, a feature that brings a special flair to the menu.
On Thursday afternoons and evenings, the cafe serves up delicious wood-fired pizzas, wings, and other mouth-watering items.
The cafe also offers a range of take-and-bake meals, ensuring everyone can enjoy a hearty meal no matter how busy their schedule is.
The diverse menu at Crema Espresso caters to all tastes and dietary requirements: from the hearty Big Breakfast and juicy burgers to open melts and even fairy bread for the little ones, there’s something for everyone.
Deeply involved in its community, Crema Espresso Capalaba also supports local junior sports teams by providing Player of the Week vouchers rewarding young athletes with a free kids’ meal and shake.
