A soon-to-be wife, and mother of two teenagers, Courtney Brown is a vibrant and active member of the community.
With her wedding just four weeks away, she is filled with excitement as she prepares to embrace this new chapter in her life.
Her previous experience in aged care was rewarding, but she finds real estate to be equally fulfilling driven by her love for helping people.
“I feel that real estate is just as rewarding because I’m not just an agent. I wear many hats. I’m a counsellor, a cleaner, a mediator, often a shoulder to cry on when people are going through hard times with the passing of a loved one or a separation,” Ms Brown said.
Beyond her family commitments, Ms Brown is deeply involved in various charitable organisations, including the JDRF Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
She lives by the ethos inspired by Dr Seuss, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
This philosophy shapes her approach to life, reminding her of the significance of small gestures and moments, especially during challenging times.
Ms Brown moved to the Redlands when her children were young, finding it an ideal community to raise a family.
“It has been the most wonderful community to raise children,” she said.
She cherishes the area’s beauty and infrastructure, including its sporting clubs, playgrounds, bushland, beaches and schools.
Her hope for the future is that the community continues to thrive and grow positively, welcoming new residents as more units are built.
“We live in one of the most beautiful places in Queensland,” she said.
In her quiet moments, Ms Brown starts her day early with a gym session, followed by walks with her two shepherds.
She enjoys dining out and spending time with friends.
“Sitting by the waterfront with fish and chips is a thing we do regularly at the end of a busy day and watch the sunset,” she said.
Her favourite local spots include the waterfront at Raby Bay and Birkdale, and she has a special fondness for North Stradbroke Island.
“One of my favourite places is North Stradbroke Island and unfortunately I don’t get there anywhere near as much as I would like,” she said.
Looking ahead, Ms Brown predicts that property prices in the area will remain strong due to high demand and a community that continues to prosper.
“I definitely can’t see the market declining as our demand is still very high. Everyone wants to live in our beautiful area,” she said.
