COLD Rock Ice Creamery at Raby Bay has become a beloved local destination.

The shop has been under the ownership of Breanna Ward for six years, and she says business has been thriving due to its prime location and loyal customers.

“Being in such a popular area has definitely contributed to our success,” she said.

The Cold Rock franchise in Cleveland consistently ranks in the top 15 for national sales, solidifying its place as one of the top ice cream destinations in the country.

The shop’s customers range from families to elderly locals and business groups, making it a popular spot throughout the day.

Lunchtime typically sees elderly patrons and business meetings, while evenings bring in the family crowd.

“The night-time crowd is mostly families, which is wonderful,” Ms Ward said.

“It’s a great spot for people to relax after a busy day and enjoy a sweet treat together.”

Known for its unique “mix-ins”, Cold Rock offers a variety of flavours customised to suit everyone’s tastes.

Children often choose fun combinations with gummies, M&Ms, and marshmallows, while adults typically go for richer, more decadent options like flakes, brownies, and the perennial favourite, cookies and cream.

Ms Ward shared that her personal favourite flavours are the rich chocolate ones, which are always a hit.

Fresh deliveries arrive weekly, with Thursdays being the busiest delivery day.

“We go through a lot of ice cream. On a busy day, especially on Saturdays, we can go through over 80 tubs,” Ms Ward said.

In addition to serving individual customers, Cold Rock Ice Creamery has also become a go-to spot for birthday parties and celebrations. Many customers order custom ice cream cakes, either enjoying them at the shop or taking them to nearby parks.

“Saturdays are crazy busy,” Ms Ward said. “We’re always preparing for a large crowd.”

Cold Rock Ice Creamery offers a Rockstar Rewards program, giving customers the chance to earn rewards such as free mix-ins, discounts, and even free ice cream on occasion.
