BRISBANE Race Week is set to return in May, offering five days of thrilling sailing, fun and festivities in Manly at our own Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS).

This year’s event, hosted for the second time by RQYS, features three divisions catering to thoroughbred racing yachts, cruising monohulls, and multihulls.

The event is open to the public and promises to be an exciting spectacle.

“Brisbane Race Week is a week of friendly rivalry between all sailing clubs based in South East Queensland,” said race organiser and participant Anton Prange.

“It has swelled in popularity due to the unique sailing courses and active social calendar of events.”

RQYS CEO Karen Baldwin said: “It is so special to have one regatta a year where we can all come together to have a fun week of friendly, inter-club rivalry on Southern Moreton Bay.”

The event kicks off on Friday, May 2 with Formula-1-style “hot laps” around Green Island.
