REDLANDS United ended their 2025 FQPL campaign in emphatic fashion with a 5-1 away victory over Southside Eagles at Bulimba on Sunday afternoon.

While Eagles were already consigned to relegation, they were desperate to avoid the wooden spoon, but the Red Devils quickly stamped their authority on the contest.

The visitors struck inside the first minute when a long throw from Josh Masters was fumbled by the home keeper, allowing Michael Bradley to pounce and tuck away the opener.

Masters’ throw-ins continued to trouble Eagles throughout the half, and Redlands doubled their lead on 33 minutes.

A well-weighted ball into the area from Eamonn Ross was turned in by Bradley for his second of the afternoon.

Just four minutes later, Bradley completed his hat-trick.

Released by Josh Tufino behind the defence, the striker was perfectly placed to slot home after Tufino drew out the keeper and squared the ball across goal, giving Redlands a commanding 3-0 advantage at the break.

Eagles came out with renewed energy in the second half, pressing high and forcing Redlands to work hard to maintain their control.

But the Red Devils extended their lead on the hour mark when Freddie Cruse sparked a swift attack, feeding Kealan Crawford, who slipped through Deegan Brook.

The forward outpaced the defence and coolly finished to make it 4-0.

The hosts pulled one back minutes later when Tristan Russell broke free to beat the keeper and give the home supporters something to cheer about.

Redlands, however, restored their dominance when Cruse intercepted a clearance and whipped in a pinpoint cross for Brook, who rose to head home his second and seal a comprehensive 5-1 win.

It was a fitting end to the season for the Red Devils, with hat-trick hero Michael Bradley deservedly named Man of the Match.
