AFTER nearly a decade in real estate, Courtney Brown has become a trusted figure in the Redlands and Bayside property market.
A long-time team member at LJ Hooker Cleveland, she brings a unique background and a people-first approach.
“I’ve always loved working closely with people, and being able to make a meaningful difference in their lives was incredibly rewarding,” she said.
“My transition into real estate happened quite organically – after moving to the Redlands and purchasing my home, the agent I worked with suggested that my caring nature and communication skills would be a great fit for the industry.
“I saw it as a new opportunity to support people through what can often be a stressful and emotional journey.
“Ten years on, I’m still passionate about what I do and grateful to be part of such an important chapter in my clients’ lives.”
A long-time local, Courtney is proud to work in the community she calls home.
“Having lived here most of my adult life, I’m lucky to work in such a beautiful place,” she said.
“The Redlands and Bayside offer incredible walking tracks, parklands and beaches, making it a wonderful place to raise a family. My clients often say my passion for the area shines through, and it’s easy to share how special this community is.”
For Courtney, it’s often the tougher journeys that stick.
“There are so many memorable stories – each client’s journey is unique. But not every sale comes from a happy place,” she said.
“Over the years, I’ve worked with people navigating divorce, financial hardship, or the loss of a loved one.
“These situations are often emotionally overwhelming, and I’ve found myself not just as their agent, but as a shoulder to cry on, a support system, and sometimes even an extra pair of hands.
“I’ve cleaned homes, helped pack, tidied gardens, organised working bees, and even arranged renovations – all to ease the burden for my clients.”
Courtney says the local property market remains strong.
“The property market in the Redlands and Bayside areas is performing strongly,” she said.
“We’re seeing continued high demand paired with limited stock, which is keeping property prices stable and competitive.
“The population in our region is growing steadily, and the increase in new developments over recent years highlights the area’s ongoing appeal and desirability.”
When it comes to selling, she says preparation is key.
“Presentation is key. First impressions matter, and taking the time to prepare your home properly can make a huge difference in the final sale price,” she said.
“Decluttering, styling, and taking care of any minor repairs can help your property stand out and appeal to a wider range of buyers.
“But just as important is choosing the right agent –someone who understands the local market, communicates clearly, and is committed to going the extra mile.”
And her advice for buyers?
“Be prepared and act with confidence. The Redlands and Bayside markets are competitive, so it’s important to have your finance pre-
approved and a clear idea of your budget before you start seriously looking,” she said.
For Courtney, real estate is personal.
“I genuinely care about the people I work with. For me, real estate is not just about property – it’s about guiding people through one of the most important transitions in their lives,” she said.
