The Australian Army Cadets (AAC) program is helping shape the leaders of tomorrow, with 136 Army Cadet Unit (ACU) in Alexandra Hills playing a role in fostering youth development.
With more than 15,000 cadets across the nation, 136 ACU is dedicated to equipping young Australians aged 12 to 18 with skills in resilience, leadership, and teamwork.
Captain Paul Golle, Officer Commanding of 136 ACU, highlighted the unit’s commitment to developing individuals.
“At 136 ACU, we focus on building resilience and leadership, empowering our cadets to face life’s challenges with confidence,” Captain Golle said.
The program goes beyond military training, teaching discipline, character, and community.
Local schools, families, and community groups work together to provide a supportive environment.
With a strong focus on adventure activities, practical training, and leadership development, 136 ACU is preparing young people for future success, whether in the ADF or their local communities.
“Our cadets are the future leaders of this country, and the experiences they gain here will shape them into capable, resilient individuals who will make a real difference,” Capt Golle said.
